Managed forests provide an abundance of resources other than timber, including wildlife habitat, recreational opportunities, alternative income opportunities, and conservation of sites with special environmental and historic significance. In order to maintain these forest values, careful consideration should be given to promoting aesthetic appeal, wildlife habitat and biodiversity, special sites, and forests with exceptional conservation value.
