Game of Logging - Level 3 (8 hours) - focuses on for handling difficult trees. Topics covered include limbing, wedging techniques and hinge placement. The felling is done against the tree's natural lean and participants also limb and buck using techniques demonstrated in level 2.

Is on your own. Please bring your lunch and water to the training as there will not be time to leave the site during the day.

What to Bring:
PPE – hardhat, hearing protection, eye protection, chain saw chaps, sturdy leather boots, and appropriate clothing for the weather (rain or shine) and running a chain saw. This training is held entirely in the woods. PARTICIPANTS SHOULD ALSO BRING THEIR CHAINSAW TO THIS CLASS.

Liability Release:
Because this training is being held on state forest lands, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania requires that every participant and spectator sign a liability release form on the day of the training. Participants and spectators that are under 18 years of age on the day of the training will be required to also have a parent/guardian signature.

•  Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable after the course registration deadline if the course is held and you do not attend.
•  Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Your space in a course will not be reserved until the registration fee is paid. Please do not delay in making payment or your space could be given to another participant.
•  Courses may be cancelled if a minimum number of students are not registered by the registration deadline. Please register on time.
•  Employees insured through Eastern Alliance Insurance Group can have the registration fee for GOL classes reimbursed by WJ Cox Insurance.
