NOTE: THIS CLASS IS NOT BEING SPONSORED BY THE PENNSYLVANIA SIC. IF YOU WOULD LIKE CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT YOU MUST SUBMIT THE TRAINING USING OUR NON-PA SFI COURSE CREDIT FORM ($20 FEE) - AVAILABLE UNDER THE "FORMS" SECTION OF OUR WEBSITE. THE PARTICIPANT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PRINTING, COMPLETING, AND SUBMITTING IT TO THE PA SFI OFFICE WITH ALL NECESSARY PAPERWORK AND PAYMENT.

ESM Dirt and Gravel Roads (8 hours) - This 1-day course has been developed through Pennsylvania’s Dirt and Gravel Road Maintenance Program to promote practices that reduce maintenance costs and sediment pollution from unpaved roads. The intent of this course is to share the lessons learned and practices developed through Pennsylvania’s Program with other road maintenance professionals. This ESM course will highlight stream crossing options; the new Dirt, Gravel, and Low Volume Road Program stream crossing policy, and assessment tools to determine the proper bankfull width for culvert or bridge replacements.

You will not need to bring anything for this training; however, morning class session will be followed by afternoon field site visits. Please be prepared to be outdoors.

Additional Information

•  Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable after the course registration deadline if the course is held and you do not attend.
•  Courses may be cancelled if a minimum number of students are not registered by the registration deadline. Please register on time.
•  Employees insured through Eastern Forestry Insurance Group can have the $90 registration fee for GOL classes reimbursed by WJ Cox Insurance.
•  Northern Tier Hardwood Association members can apply for a 50% reimbursement of registration costs after completing courses. Contact NTHA at (570) 265-7753.
